Whoever invented these...
...should be shot.
They serve no purpose other than to wreck your spoiler.

Honestly, I never understood parking blocks.
Then again, when I park at the back of our parking lot, my rear wheels are usually right on the line of the lot and the grass, so maybe I'm the reason why they use parking blocks.... LOL |

I am pretty sure that they are there so people dont drive on grass as pictured above or drive across parking lots.

That moment when you know you hit it and the inevitable backing up slowly is the worst. Destroyed a couple sets of splitters this way. It's not the hitting them it's the backing off of them that I dread!

I should just start backing into spaces.

This is an ingenious piece of invention that stops women from parking their cars on the green or sidewalk or your livingroom.

Ream of paper under the tire should do it, I hope. I only need a half inch. Just hope it doesn't lower the other side too much.

Not just for your fenders, but the rest of your car. If you back in, you make the backing motion into a tightly controlled space, while able to see a far wider landscape.
When you back OUT of the parking space, you are severely limited in your vision (potentially) and are entering an area where ID10Ts are potentially flying into you realm of experience with reckless abandon, and you won't know until they take out your rear quarter. |

one would think they could be shorter by an inch and still serve the same purpose...and save $$.
Concrete is damn expensive! |

Dont like those at all. M3 had some abuse in the 1st year of ownership from that stuff.

As it turned out it was one of the pins holding the thing to the ground that caught me. It was sticking up about an inch. The ream of paper helped, but the spoiler still caught a bit. I don't see any obvious damage, but there was a piece of plastic near the front of my car when I backed out. Might have come off my car, or it might not have. I'll have the dealer look at when it goes in for service. Bumper and spoiler seem ok, though.

Have your gardener bring the hacksaw to work tomorrow and trim down the rebar to a more suitable level. How your employer could ever let this happen to your assigned spot is 3rd worldly.

Didn't hit it. Just barely caught the spoiler on it. Should have stopped 3" earlier. Shit like this makes me miss my X5.

Most embarrassing part was I did it in front of AMG owner.
As soon as it made that polymer grinding noise, he was like "OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

Yeah, it's only laziness that kept me from backing in before (now there's a FWP). Starting tomorrow it'll become a habit.
