stupid question about clearing error codes

yeah I know this is a dumb question but people on here have a lot of knowledge about this stuff. I have the OBD diagnostic code reader from vishnu. I had a bunch of misfire codes when I took out my v2 but with the help of you guys i found out I had the yellow wires 6 and 7 mixed up and everything runs fine now. Anyways I can't seem to get the error codes to clear (the 300 codes/misfire codes). I've tried letting cycle more than 4 times taking the code reader out and turning on the car...that didn't work. I tried disconnecting the battery and that didn't work. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Try clearing the codes multiple times and they will eventually disappear from the OBDII reads. But they are still in there though; just not visible to the OBDII reader.
