My 335 vs Audi S5

Yesterday my friend and I were playing around doing some 70 to about 130 runs. My car has catless DP's, full exhaust, and AA xede with R7. I pulled about 1.5-2 cars on him every run. The s5 is a beautiful car but i just wish they put a little more power under the hood.

Bit of a slug? Does he have anything done to the s5? 1.5-2 cars, thats it? That car isnt slow then. Do a couiple things to that car, and he will surprise you.

That would mean stock vs. stock, he would've beat you. How's that slow or sluggish? Given the size and drivetrain on the S5, that's actually pretty impresive. Is his car stick or auto?

I was expecting you to pull more than 1-2 cars on him. I mean, stock for stock should be a drivers race, maybe a slight advantage to the S5, but with our setup I was expecting close to NO CONTEST or RAPE.

it IS sluggish for what it is

V8 with 350(estimated) Horsepower.. it shouldn't be such a close race

in a straight sock for stock it would win, but on a track stock for stock the BMW has the edge, look up the video on Youtube..

So randy is Right, although that white S5 randy raced yesterday was beautiful, it had nothin on our Bimmers

hm I'd have to see the two make some passes at the track before I would claim the S5 is faster stock to stock... Our engines are under rated and our cars are lighter. The 335 edged out the S5 on a road course on 5th gear too.

obviously the number of cars he pulled on him has a lot to do w/ how fast they went up to. If he pulled 2 cars up to 60 then great. If he pulled 2 cars up to 130mph....then not so great.

yah i just test drove that beauty a couple days ago. acceleration, handling, steering suck, 3rd gear was grinding like crazy, but that might be that one particular car that i drove. but everything else is pure sex

From what I was told, auto is coming this spring.

Does he go to your high school?

Wait, you have AA Xede, Catless DP's and full exhaust, and you only pulled 1-2 car lengths on the S5??

Somethings not right with your car, or that S5 had some mods.

The stock 335i should hang right with the S5 in that acceleration contest.
You DP's along should of given you 1+ CL
Your full exhaust should of given you another 1 CL

Your Xede should of given you 2-3 CL's

You should of beat the S5 by 4-5 CL's easy in 70-130 run with your set up.

The only other explanation is if you have a manual, you started in the wrong gear (at 70 mph you should start in 3rd) and/or you suck at shifting and your shift to 4th was granny slow. No offense.

i started in 3rd and i can drive.....his car is bone stock...you guys think there is something wrong with my car?...maybe its time to head to the dyno....thinking about it we shut down around 115-120

+1 v2.1 w/ downpipes would put ~5-6 cars on that s5...
