HELP!!.....only reading 2.9psi max boost on dashdyno from obd 2 port??

it was calibrated for 0.0 psi with ignition on engine off, reads -9.7 psi at idle while at operating temperature. Only goes up to 2.9psi WOT at operating temperature. Does not pass 2.9 like something is limiting it....

This is retarded i should be getting 8.0-8.5psi wtf??

This may actually be accurate as I always felt it didn't pull as good as the cars I test drove.

Try running an actual line from the motor and see what it reads....

The dashdyno is reading wrong or the ecu is sending the wrong reading, I'm thinking it's the dashdyno. I ran an actual line from the main vacuum line underneath the airfilter housing and got 8psi. Thanks for the response kyleh.

The MAP reading you are getting is from the intake manifold sensor which only goes to about 2.5 - 3.0 PSI positive pressure. The TMAP (or boost pressure sensor) doesn't read vacuum but does read boost. Apparently the TMAP is not exposed to the OBDII addressing.

Nothing is wrong, just a limitation of the OBDII reader.
