V2 limp mode solved? (> 5000 RPM, cold weather, 6MT)

Any 6MT v2 users in cold climates not getting limp modes, at high RPMs (> 5000)? If so, which version of firmware and map are you using?

No limp modes here - '07 6MT running 2.02 and new firmware. 2.02 dated 12-29 and no issues in about 600 miles or so of easy cruisin' and balls out blasts to redline...

Temps have been "cold" for Texas in the last 2 weeks...hovering between 25 and 32 degrees at night...not exactly cold climate but as cold as I can report on here.

12-29 caused issues that I thought were cured with 1-10. It turns out, that at -7.5 C, I can repeatedly get a limp with the 3-4 upshift if I take t to redline. It's easy to avoid if I shift by 6500 RPM.

Wow, I think that has to be serious. I believe most of the V2 limps occur near redline. If yours limps at 3k, then I would recheck everything, get datalogs, and contact Shiv.

I have had the same issue...It sucks when your racing to have to shift even 300rpms earlier.

What's funny was this occurred when some d-bag in a Spectra5 thought he would do something on the highway. I easily raped him when i d/s into 3rd, but to put all the distance possible, I kept it up to redline and noticed the yellow engine when I shifted. I really should have just left it in 6th and pulled on him...

OK, so no fix. wonderful. Mine happened during both downshift and upshift (modified S4 and an M6 conv). So with this type of problem, what hidden codes are generated?

I haven't run the codes on my car, because for me the condition is easily avoided. The other day I noticed that I shifted at redline for 3rd and didn't create a limp. I know it was cold, but I do not recall the temperature.

I need to run data logs and check to see if there any codes, but being the winter does not lend itself too well to high-speed data acquisition. I would also need a passenger with intestinal fortitude.
