Manning AND Brady choke this weekend?????

I bet the bookies are having shit fits!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brady couldn't hit a barn door last night, and his receivers' hands were greased.

Manning today was like a practice dummy for the Steelers' defense.

And Vander-whatever couldn't hit his field goal to tie the game at the end,so the deserving team went on to win.

Wow, what a way to end a season for both teams!

The ONLY reason i was SOMEWHAT goin for the colts, was cause of the coach losing his son a month ago. I felt bad for him.
But i dont like manning.. And the chargers ended their winning streak!

Too bad the Chargers couldn't put the Chiefs away... they had a chance for the playoffs...

Big Ben saved the game for the Steelers saving a potential game winning touchdown. If only the runner went wide out on the wing instead of breaking down the middle the outcome may have been different; he had the speed and and angle.

I was crossing my fingers for the Colts because of their great season. Seems like Manning just can't win it in the post season... reminds me of Jim Kelly and the Bills going to the SB all those times and never winnning.

Now about the Patriots.... changing of the guard I say. If my USC Trojans couldn't make history and win 3 National Titles in a row then the Patriots couldn't possibly win 3 SB's in a row either!

Either way this is looking to be a sleeper SB... Defense will prevail.

Does this mean the Broncos are the strongest team in the final four?

Not a chance, Seattle all the way!
Alexander will be back in, a concussion won't last a week and with everyone back in, they're gonna be hard to beat.

Plus Seattle's the loudest stadium in the NFL. That'll account for something.

Seahawks vs. Steelers for SB

No big surprise, knowing that the Supersonics' arena is also the loudest in the NBA.

I'm a Broncos season ticket holder, so obviously I am excited that we're hosting the AFC championship next week, but I am sincere in saying that I felt terrible for the Colts fans as I was watching that game.

Back in the 1996 season, we had a great season (13-3 I think), got homefield advantage, and then promptly lost against Jacksonville in our first playoff game. I was there, and it was terrible.

But, as you all know, Denver went on to win the SB the next two years.

Frankly, with Dungy's terrible personal loss, I felt like this season that was "the season" for Indy sort of lost its momentum in a big way. Perhaps for good reason.

So, take heart Indy fans. I think that sinking feeling from this year will translate into intense hunger each and every game next year, and perhaps next year will be "the year."

Now, can't say I feel too bad for the Pats fans. They've had their share.

I have nothing against the Colts, but not for one second through this entire season did I think they'd be in the Superbowl. Maybe I'm just not as infatuated with Manning as the rest of NFL Fandom, but if I'm building a team around a QB I don't think I'd be starting with Peyton. All of that charade with the audible calling at the line is good show & all, but I just doubt his qualities as a leader.

Ditto for Hasselbeck.

Then again, the same criticism was pointed at Elway too.

When the playoffs started, my pick was Carolina to win it all. They look pretty good right now, even with Foster out.

I watched both Brady and Manning lose this weekend. It seems that both of them couldn't handle being pressured very well . The Patriots beat themselves and Denver was extremely lucky. I don't think they will beat the Steelers though. Unfortunately for Manning it appears that he will indeed be another Jim Kelly or more like Marinio.
What does it tell you when the 3 AFC quaterbacks picked for the Pro-bowl lose ?

Yeah - I was there. Kind of a bizarre game, with all the Pats' mistakes and all. But I'll take it. And we do have tickets for the championship game - the best benefit of having season tickets.

I'm surprised Ticketmaster wouldn't sell you tickets, but I suppose it's an attempt to prevent scalpers from buying them. That's too bad for someone like you though, who lives out of state but wants to come and see the Broncos.

And, as far as the Broncos being lucky to have won that game - point taken. But I don't think it's so much luck as much as it is the defense "bailing" the offense out. And that's OK with me. If the defense plays like they have been, Plummer and the offense can do enough to win.

It'll be a good game. I like the Steelers - if it wasn't the Broncos they were playing, I'd be rooting for them. Cowher and Bettis deserve to go - just not this year .

Don't get me wrong but the Defense had nothing to do with the "Fair catch" that Troy Brown dropped for a turnover. Or the so called interference call made on Asante Samual. Both of these calls put Denver inside the 10 yard line that led to Denver points. Clearly without these 2 plays the Bronco's may not have won. But that's football for you. Over the past couple of years the Patriots were on the right side of many plays like those two.
Champ Baily's interception reminded me of Ty Law's game winning play's when he was a Patriot. It was a great defensive play that turned the tide. Denver will need to play better to beat the Steeler's.
