I bought a set of HID foglights ... questions

I got a set of HID 8000k foglights for my E92. I was told by the person I got them from, that I needed the H11 bulbs. I'm hoping he was correct. I purchased the higher wattage ones. I think they are 65 watts. Upon doing some reading here, I noticed some people have posted getting an error with them . Is this correct ? What do I need to do to prevent this from happeneing on my car. I'm doing this install this coming weekend. Your input is greatly appreciated !

you need to get resistors so it wont throw an error code.

I think E92 fogs are H8.. regardless, they will most likely throw an error unless you add resistor of some kind. I haven't had any luck getting HID from 2 vendors to work on my E90 w/o error. Sending mine back this week.

You need to get a resistor pack and wiring harness or a set of capacitors to prevent the bulb out warning and flickering from occurring.

Thanks for the info. I sent everything back and they are replacing it with H8 bulbs and sending along the resistor pack for German cars. I wish some of these people knew what the customer requires. There should be no reason I have to go down hunting for information, when they are the ones trying to make a sale. I'll be sticking to the vendors on here from now on.
