Progman 27-28 changes (Tuner Alert)

Tuners I would check into the remapping of power from Progman 27 -28 updates.

It feels like they pulled some timing and/or boost from idle to 2.5K and added it back from 3-6K

I have the SSTT and it really feels more turbo car than before. Im almost afraid that I might be exceeding the safe limits of that system. Also the top end is stronger then before and the ability to use M1 is interesting (less wheel spin and more forward progress). DS is very good and D is much smoother.

The only bummer when running stock was that M2 felt weak off the line. And lacked that urgency that it used to have.

Im not sure if they also played with the DTC.

Mostly just want to warn about the possibility of additional boost from 3-6K rpm

I got my Progman updated to 28 on the 17th and I left my Attache in there. There was no difference in my car when I picked it up. The only thing I noticed is, if I leave my vent setting to recirculate and then shut off the car and turn it back on, it will still stay on. Whereas in the past, when I shut off the car and turn it back on, it will be off and I would have to press the button again to get the air to recirculate.

In terms of engine management, Progman version 27, 27.1, and 28 are using the exact same files on the 335. Any perceived performance difference is entirely placebic.

Maybe a stupid question, but how can you tell what version you're running?

And is this an automatic thing only?

Did you leave it in there because you're dealership didnt care or because they update thru the OBD port and have no need to ever check the ECU?
