To answer the question: mods by people who don't know what they are doing

Way too much rear aero downforce IMO, which is quite useless at the drag strip.

With two parachutes in the back, this Lexus must be running under 8 sec. I personally haven't seen large wings like this on such a fast racer and think it has something to do with it.
