Fuel pump upgrade questions

Ordered the s1 lpfp from Steve @ fuel it and got everything disconnected except for the green fuel clip that holds it to the oem pump. I tried for 45min of pushing it in and pulling, tried to push it in and pry up and it will not release. Started getting very angry due to getting a few cuts on my fingers and than dipping them in fuel... Argghh. Gave up and put everything back together. Has anyone else had this issue and recommend a easier way.

This won't help, but I had the same exact issues when installing my Stg 2 pump last week. I was even pressing the green piece in with a screw driver as I pulled up as hard as I could. I ultimately wound up breaking the top off of the fuel pump (not a big deal since I was putting in a new pump anyways). I know the instructions mention the PITA clip, but they should call that the PITA green button.

Yea I was worried about breaking it myself. Steve said key is to press it in gently and pull up gently.. Uhm not sure how that works as its not moving at all!
