ZHP Illuminated Shift Knob on E90 with Glasses Tray

Hey Guys,
So I just got my 6mt Illuminated shift knob and was excited to put it in tonight. Only one problem...every DIY I've found is for splicing into the cigarette lighter. The non-smoking package doesn't have these wires running underneath to splice into and I really don't feel comfortable running it into the iDrive which is the only other wire in sight underneath. Has anyone ever done this on an e9x successfully?

It is not weighted, but it is an oem knob.

Just buy an Add a circuit to tap into the fuse box, completely reversals and no splicing of cars wires. That's prob your best bet

The ZHP knob is indeed weighted.
The F10 M5 knob is virtually identical to the E46 ZHP knob, is also weighted yet has OEM illumination.

I will check out the F10 knob. I currently have a ZHP and love it but want illumination.
