Resetting Engine Adaptations Using BT Scan Tool
Does anyone know the proper procedures for resetting adaptions on E90 using the BT scan tool?
I hear it's a list of steps? I recently had my O2 sensors change and it's idling and driving very rough Last edited by bmwhitman; 04-04-2015 at 02:36 PM.. Reason: typo |

Engine / Adaptations
Under Engine , Select Adaptations - which should be done. But are you currently throwing any codes? I have recently replaced the (2) pre-cat 02 sensors and cleared codes without resetting adaptations with no issue.
. So, I am betting that you have another problem or recheck your work to see if you installed the 02 sensors correctly without disturbing another system like vacuum lines . . It all really comes down to : AIR + FUEL + Fire = Energy/Power . You changed the AIR but unless you are throwing a code my guess it has to do with Fuel or Fire. |

Prior to the oxygen sensor job I was only throwing a few codes:
1) A lambda oxygen sensor Post Cat (Behind Cat) bank 2 Trim Control; 2) AUC sensor fault 3) Radio Antenna fault (antenna or diversity not connected) After the job the faults are still present. If the oxygen sensors were installed in the wrong banks, would it throw more codes than that? |
