I am above and beyond frustrated with my 2006 325i.
I replaced my stock halogen headlights with depo headlamps and turner moto HID kit with 55w 6k bulbs and error cancelers. They worked great for 3 weeks now out of the blue i have a error code continue to pop up every 5 to 7 seconds. Ccid 89 ccid 88 ccid 231 Low beams and light malfunction. Has anyone had a related problem? Can i bypass the headlight sensor? Is anyone in the trenton-englishtown area able to code this for me. I can not drive my 45 minutes to work each day with the code constantly popping up. If anyone can figure this out please let me now asap. Thank you |

Have you tried just leaving the headlight switch to low beam on? I've got mine working without errors by turning on and off the car by leaving the switch in that position all the time instead of on auto.

yes you can! But the reason your car is giving you errors is because of your HID kit not because of the Depo headlights itself! Go for a better HID kit next time like morimoto from TRS. im running depo and morimoto with no isssues!

Final "answer"
I was told my multiple people that with my frm module and headlight set up i can not code out the error.
So i removed the cluster and cut out the chime speaker so i can drive without aggravation. Im sad to say that i still see the error pop up every 5 seconds while low beams are on and the chime for service is also disabled. I do my own service so im not to upset about that but i would of liked a more appropriate solution. Thank you guys for the advice |
