So I just picked up my car yesterday after having the Valve Cover Gasket Replaced. I noticed that upon cold start up the car starts up like it hasn't been driven for a long time(weak battery?). And after the car is warmed up the car tachometer fluctuates 6-800 RPM all the time upon startup. The fluctuation goes away 10 seconds after start up. Today after driving the car my SES light came up baffled since I just had the gasket cover replaced YESTERDAY
Im going to check the code later on today but this is getting really frustrating since I've so far replaced 1 spark plug (all 6 were replaced 3 months ago), 6 coils ( I had to replace all 6 after I got 1 coil replaced and started misfiring again and then a few days ago valve cover gasket. I really don't know what is wrong with my car and this is getting far beyond annoying.. The car has been having the rough idle 6-800RPM fluctuation after replacing all 6 coils and also the car revs to 8-900rpm when ever I put the car into park.

Anyone have any ideas?

The gasket wasn't properly seated, you have a vacuum leak coming through it. Take it back to wherever you had it done.

Thanks I have a P0171 and P0174 both "System too lean code". Unfortunately the mechanic seems to be ignoring my calls... Im hoping that it could be a dirty MAF sensor.

Update* I went to the car wash today and when I finished washing,I started my car. Since I didn't want to deal/feel the rough idle I put the car in reverse upon 2 seconds of start up then my engine stopped the second I hit the gas... thankfully it started up but abruptly..

I can all but guarantee that the gasket is pinched somewhere.. Knock down that mechanic's door!

Sounds like an improper sitting gasket. I did mine too and after I had mine done it ran much smoother
