Dinan Flash 91 Octane Dyno

I finally was able to get the car redynoed at a place that new what they were doing. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the results.

This was done on a dynojet. My car is completly stock except for the Dinan Flash. My car currently has 4500 miles on it.

320 rwhp and 379 rwtq

The HP values were what I was expecting with the 91 Octane but I was shocked to see how high the torque was. Here is the graph.

Name: DSC00761s.jpg
Views: 1173
Size: 289.4 KB

On the run that I hit 320 hp unfortunatley the dyno did not get a torque reading. The other thing I noticed was that the AFR was in the 10's.

Hopefully this will help the other CALI 91 Octane users with a descision for what tune will work best for them.

Typically ~ +5-10WHP / +7-15RWTQ.

Wow, those are not typical V2 (or V1.47 for that matter) numbers. Those numbers are seriously low unless they were taken from a DD dyno. Not to hiijack the thread, but what firmware/map/user torque are you running?

Is this the new Dinan "Stage II" ECU upgrade? It look impressive.

Don't think so....they haven't released that yet. I can't wait to see what #'s it produces though.

You sure...? Every 91 Octane PROcede dyno I have seen have been around 320hp.

Then again...like every dyno run, you cannot compare them. Too bad the OP didn't get a baseline dyno run before having his ECU flashed by Dinan..! Though the graph does look smoooooth, indicative of a refined tune.

What would the Dinan do with 120 octane...?

Who cares..? octane beyond pump gas (93/94) is pointless. Adding more octane does nothing, unless you have specific modifications that will make use of it.

I have not heard of an Dinan flashes having predetonation with 93 octane, so why would you need 100 octane. Unless that somehow makes you kewl..! Or if your a professional dragracer in pro stock events.

Unfortunatly I do not have a baseline dyno to compare it too. I am looking forward to hearing about there stage II falsh when it is available. I have been very happy with the tune and I was impressed with the numbers on 91 Octane.

what are you talking about? 100 octane would give him AT LEAST 15hp over 91.. Its been proven many times

Awesome numbers, the torque is beastly. And to think they'd be even better with 93 octane...

not on the dinan flash, the story i read was that due to the fact it doesn't boost much, you don't pick up much power with better octane... it's not like v2 where you can increase the tq value when running higher octane.

Its boosting over 13psi..just like procede 1.45..theres plenty of dynos showing an extra 10-15 horsepower on 96-100 octane on procede..and helix got 12whp by adding 1 can of torco to their 13psi tune. even with my jb2 it makes a big difference. Even a stock car gains hp on 100 octane.

The v2 does take full adavatage with more boost but the adaption in the ecu does increase power throught timing and fuel adjustments with higher octane. There is limits within the programming unless the parameters have been adjusted in such in the case with the Dinan flash.
