Hello, im planning on fitting my recaro CS seats into my 2007 bmw e92 this weekend!
![]() I have everything sorted apart from the new seats do not have side airbags fitted into them.. I will need to wire in a resistor into the circuit to prevent the car from thinking the seat air bag is faulty. Does anyone know what the resistance for the seat airbags is so i can fit the correct resistor? i know i can use a multimeter to check the resistance but just wanted to check beforehand if any of you have also done this Thanks ![]() |

Couldn't you just have the vehicle coded and have them turned off?

Look up some shops in your area that do coding and give them a call. The link below is from a shop my buddy's own here in atl,GA. Shows all the coding options that can be done.So if they can do it you should be able to find a shop wherever you are that can do it.

Hello again, thanks for your replys, I now have the seats fitted and they look great (I'll attatch a photo soon)
The only problem I have now is fitting a seat occupancy sensor bypass so the car always senses a passenger since the new Recaros don't have a occupancy sensor fitted into them (if the sensor dosnt detect a passenger then the passenger airbags won't deploy in an accident) Has anyone retro fitted the occupancy bypass as I really need my airbags to work, someone must have aftermarket sports seats in there cars? Any help is appreciated! Thanks ![]() |

You have to get it coded to trick the car that there is someone always in the seat so that way the airbags go off. It shouldnt be to hard for someone who knows how to actually code properly.

Drop makkan00 a pm he is the go to guy in the UK he will be able to sort you out. You can buy the seat mat emulator on flea bay for £40 quid. Think it's just plug and go.

+1, this is what I did and have had no issues. The only two other options are to buy a seat occupancy simulator from EAS or remove the one from your factory seat.
