very painful indeed, iv got the coding covered.. will be installing the injectors myself, coding ill get a mate to do (BMW Tech) its just the price for the injectors and i must buy all 6... i hate being in this situation where its BMW or nowhere, and at that price ![]() ![]() eurocarparts do the injectors at £170 each but i think they're the discontinued injectors (part: 13537585261) |

86.80/each from Rockautouk
http://www.rockauto.co.uk/catalog/mo...nid=461&jpid=0 I couldn't find your exact part number, but used their search engine to find the ones I used on my 2008 335xi. I received index 12 injectors. Have been working great for the last 4000 miles. |

Gone through this myself, it's a bit scary on cost but each injector is £199.17 plus VAT from BMW, you'll need with them the coupling elements as well they are around £6+VAT each, remember on the N54/N53 for that matter the injectors have been updated. If you've got a warranty thsts half decent then the pains reduced if you haven't as you say isn't exactly cheap.
Once fitted as said the injectors require coding. Also worth doing are the coils and plugs plugs especially if the injectors are/have been leaking. I've seen a good few 335i's though our workshop doing the plugs with the injectors though more costly is the right way forward. The plugs once removed might look OK but BMW have had issues in tge past by replacing injectors only hence this is the recommended move. Once done the advise is to reset engine parameters as the car needs to 'adjust to its new injector set' if the cars an auto have the adaptations re set on the gearbox too as again this needs to know. Once all done and done. like described the car will feel so much better for it. Be wary of getting injectors from 'outside suppliers' even if they say Bosch or whatever, seen em done and we've seen problems even when coded, BMW have had multiple supersession updates of these which isn't thst comforting but the lster spec items have been configured around the knowledge gained by the amount of 'failures' that have happened since the engines birth.... I've got a picture of a leaking injector for you. Remember the engine isn't running this is an injector not "closing down"in other words leaking. It would be picked up by poor smooth running actual value readings. you'll be able to see slighly better with the stills taken on the first picture I've highlighted the spray patten which in itself isn't 100% correct ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by old grey steve; 04-16-2015 at 04:16 PM.. |

hi mate.
yea im aware the coupling will need doing same time, was looking to order them in at my local dealer, warranty i don't have, my car has done over 120k and from what iv searched they generally dont cover cars over 120k, BMW do cover over 100k but limited to certain components and injectors deff not included as its part of fueling system and fueling system not covered in BMW driveline warranty.... plugs i changed around 8k ago used genuine BMW plugs, you think i should change them again? i will be changing the oil again although i only renewed it (castrol edge) under a week ago less then 100miles, i can smell hint of petrol through oil filler cap.. change i must! ill let my BMW matey know regarding resetting engine parameters etc.. gearbox is a manual so i guess reset wont apply there. one thing i would like to know is, who actually manufactures n54 BMW injectors..? i was under the impression what eurocarparts and other parts shop sell is the same injector as OEM.. thanks for the pictures of leaking injectors.. ![]() i was only yesterday about to pull out the injector, turn it side ways and bolt it back onto the fuel railing giving it a few cranks to see exactly whats it doing, but by that time it sorted itself back to normal close position ![]() still injectors need changing |

my requirements are that these new injectors can take a beating as my car tracks now and then.. and im guessing the guys who manufacture for BMW are the only ones who are closest to getting it right.. and even they fail |

At carparts4less there is a code for every £100 you get £15 off, maybe you need to buy the item in 6 seperate invoice but since its free delivery the work isnt too bad to save a few quid off

Are they original injectors? What is the age of the car? IIRC there was a recall on some injectors. Don't know if you might be in luck if they are in the recall. Will save you a grand!

The injector I bought for my N53 from Eurocarparts was made by the same company as what I already had in there (OEM). It was either Bosch/Siemens, I can't remember, but it sorted out my leaking injectors/rough idle immediately.
I got mine for just over £100, but the price went up a few days later. |

mob17 - leebmann24 quoted me €1152 Delivered, works out around £830! Yoro35i - i contacted carparts4less, based on 13538616079 they said they dont do that part, if carparts4less did it im sure eurocarparts would do it too, and at eurocarparts i can get bigger discount, but even eurocarparts were having trouble getting back to me regarding those injectors (13538616079) Last edited by ait300; 04-17-2015 at 08:20 AM.. |

The injectors wont be under the 079 part number they'll be under the one ending in 261, it's the prefix on the end that determines if they're 079 or not. IIRC -11 and after will be 079
Edit part number - 13537585261 Last edited by Hibbyfor; 04-17-2015 at 08:57 AM.. |

Worth looking at this tread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1115727 and specifically this link: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...&parttype=6224 Apparently OEM brand and work out at £550 delivered (plus customs circa £120) so £670ish total. |
