Please post PTF/Protune dyno's
There are dozens of threads giving reviews on PTF's e-tune for the n55, and dozens of the n54 threads have dyno results included.
I have yet to see any n55 dyno results from a pro-tune or PTF's e-tune.

Dyno time is expensive so you may have trouble getting that information. Since most do e-tunes with them there is no need for a dyno pull.

Unfortunately i too don't have a dyno sheet to show but the butt dyno says the gains are immense over OTS maps.

I understand the price, and the fact that there are many more n54's out there but it is hard to believe there isn't a single n55 in this forum with a PTF dyno sheet.
I do not understand enough about logs to determine what my HP/TQ curves are, I will try to study up on this. I know I can feel improvement over stock from my Stage 2 Aggressive, but I would purchase a PTF tune in an instant if I could see some solid results over the OTS maps.

I'm thinking about getting a protune or PTF map on 91 octane. That's the best we have here on the west coast.
I'm stuck on stage 2 drive and still getting timing corrections. Is it worth it ? Will it compare to any of the 93octane Cobb ots maps or not even close?

I use Virtual Dyno to help me compare maps an analyze my progress. Some say it's accurate, some don't. Here's my existing Stage 1 tune versus the Cobb OTS Stage 1 sport. These are uncorrected #'s at 5600' on 91 octane:

And when I ditch this RFTs and upgrade my LPFP I'll get an e50 tune. I think it's an additional 100 for another tune

I had to ditch the RFTs when I got stage 2 OTS, way too much torque.

To be clear, mine is not a PTF or other pro tune. It's my own tune with likely many more revisions than any protune to get my boost, fuel, and timing right up to the limit. Others may not experience the same results with a standard e-tune.

I'm hoping to meet up with Dzenno and dyno/tune soon, the problem is that I have awd and there only a handful of awd dynos and a couple aren't open on the wknds. I'll post once it's done, but it probably won't be until the summer.

I'm Working with Pro Tuning Freaks and Wedge and I can tell you that both of these tuners have given me maps that are far better the Cobb OTS maps. Now, with that said I'm having issues with running the tunes, but I had issues running Cobb Stage 2 + FMIC Aggressive also. I think I've figured out my problem.
I didn't have any real problems on Cobb Stage 1 maps. So here is my advice: a) If going FBO then use the Cobb maps first to make sure that your car is ready to handle the power. This means you should have good spark plugs and no exhaust leaks, boost leaks, or failing HPFP, coils, or injectors. If your car runs good on Cobb Stage 2 + you are ready for PTF or Wedge. b) Ignore everything I said in point "a" if you won't go FBO and as soon as you install your Cobb AP contact PTF or Wedge and let them fine tune your car. My butt Dyno tells me that is is the best $200 you can spend oWith that said, be ready to work through problems that more than likely arise. The N55 can be a frustrating platform to work with, but you may be lucky and not have any issues. I recommend purchasing the Bavarian Tech Cable and download the software for troubleshooting.

Cobb OTS maps will have issues that are tuning related and this is what PTF fixes. Its not hardware that must be an issue if the OTS map doesn't end up working well. That's just your specific case. Tons of people have issues with OTS maps especially Stage 2 maps and none are hardware related and they've gotten fixed right up after PTF got their hands on the car.

Found another. Very interesting seeing the differences between these dynos. I understand that every dyno is different but the curves look completely different and everyone is FBO with a PTF e-tune.

Really appreciate your effort in digging these up as we're doing a crappy job filing these on our end
When it comes to differences in tuning there can be a number of factors at play. First off we have all sorts of requests when it comes to tuning, more linear power deliver, torquey street tunes, road course tunes where heat management is key so naturally less boost, etc etc. Couple that with differences in ambient conditions, octane quality and type of dyno used as well as our approaches to N55 tuning changing with time you can end up with any number of power delivery combinations out there. This is part of why custom tuning in itself is great. Everyone's got different needs, their octane doesn't match octane that worked well for another guy, someone is at 6000ft altitude while another person is below sea level, etc. Hope that begins to explain it. At least with us if at any time anyone wants to change their tune around and have it adjusted it is free of any subsequent charges as long as there are no major changes to hardware (e.g. from stock to aftermarket turbo) or octane (e.g. from pump to E85 or race gas or meth).
