I've seen multiple post in the past with E92 owners who have gone that route. Its a quick and cheap way to get rid of the stock "yellow" halogen look, but I'm not sure that the output is the same as LEDs though.
E92's have so many more options vs the pre-LCI E90.

+1. Its a very simple solution to changing them out from the stock yellow color. the LED options out there will give you a nicer look if that's what your looking for, and a small few of of the options out there are well over 2x as bright as any halogen replacement.

I´ve got some similar ones in my car that are "blue-glass" H8 stock 35W halogens.
They look great matching my 4300K osram Nightbreaker Xenarx D1S bulbs, but you can forget acheiving 7500K in a halogen bulb. Not possible. The best you can hope for is around 4500K in real life, which is fine if you have stock xenons in the headlight. If your running cool blue intense or phillips whitevision/bluevision D1S, then it might still be abit on the yellow side. Mine are MTEC 4750K Cosmos blue bulbs.

They might not be as bright as the high-dollar LEDs, but they do a great job fpr what I spent, like $15 on ebay or something like it.

DRL´s are mandatory in Sweden and looking at mine they are about on par in brightness with the F30/31 OEM LED setup when looking at them side by side in a lit garage.

Update: the H8 bulbs for the angel eyes aren't worth it in my opinion :/ i barely noticed a difference at all. Maybe even more dim almost. Would recommend the H3 for cornering lights though! I can post pics tonight if anyone is really interested.
Also super PITA to get in there, I'm not a big guy and i had a hard time getting the new bulbs in. And cut my finger!

The size restrictions on the forum for attachments is crazy so I just made an album on imgur. Here you go!

Well there is a little bit of difference. Not enough for it to be worth it though. I will definitely be getting some MTEC or LUX LEDs instead.

They look pretty good! How do the MTEC and the Lux look like? Are you talking about the halos from the Mtech 335i?

Oops! I meant to put DTEC not MTEC, sorry! The only reason I still want to upgrade is because I just ordered a HID kit for my fogs so it'll look weird mismatched.

Which HID kit? I went with a 35 watt 5500K HID kit from the retrofit source. Cost $150 with shipping and has the best quality ive seen in any HID kit before.

HID for the Fogs or the angel eyes? I think the question was which angel eye kit did you go with.

for angel eyes, we wouldn't recommend HID angel eyes, factory angel eyes were never designed to be overdriven with HID, else, it would have been designed like that already from factory, however, it isnt and there is techical reason for it.

fact, we already had to fix and replace many HID angel eyes installations gone wrong locally well past 20 by now, hope this helps.
