What color for 162 refinish - Black Sapphire Metallic E90 LCI
Yeah yeah, they're stock wheels, why refinish them, get something new, etc. etc. - Not happening. These previously refinished 162s are getting refinished again for my black sapphire mettalic LCI sedan. Looking for comments and suggestions. Here's my current thinking.
Don't want them to look stock, so silver is out. I like the way they look now and may keep them as is. If I make a switch it would probably be a light hyper black or titanium. I think I've found most of the pics of BSM sedans with 162 wheels and other wheels in these colors but if anyone has anything else to post please do. |

Here is another member, similar to yours, but I like what you did with them. Mind sharing what was done to them? Color? Pricing? Good work, I thought about doing this to mine as well, but wasnt sure if the pricing would have been worth it. Mine is arktis metallic, im sure that color would look great on it. Hyper black is an awesome color, love it and I would recomend it.

I've decided to keep them as-is. I like the way the look now and I feel like the chances for screwing it up and getting something I don't like are higher than improving what I've got. I found some other photos of hyperblack and wasn't really into it. Original coating job was done by Rager's Edge in northern indiana - price is $50 each but they are kind of in the middle of nowhere. Color is "Bonded Black Chrome" available from powder buy the pound with a gloss clearcoat.

I have always been a fan of a bronze/copper look for a black sedan.
