We're coming from the Southcoast region, Somerset/Swansea area. Hopefully some other folks from closer to you chime in and maybe allow you guys to setup a caravan or something.

The show sounds like it's going to be a blast, with a ton of people and cars signed up. Hell, I might even try to play $50 at a roulette table if I have the time. Haven't been to Mohegan in years.

Hmm I wish there was more notice I would have made a weekend of it at the Casino.

I will not be attending unfortunately. If this is a yearly event can you take pictures so we know what to expect next year?

Ahh, bummer! But yes, absolutely going to take photos. Debating on whether or not to bring my 40D or just use my iPhone 6+ for pictures...but you may have made up my mind for me. I'll try to get some really quality pics for you guys.

Seeing all the butthurt and shit talking taking place already, you couldn't pay me enough to go. This combined with a parking garage and 3,000 people supposedly going makes it a recipe for disaster

Where is said butthurt and shit talking taking place? I haven't seen anything negative about it. It's a car show...it is what it is. If it sucks, then we go to the casino for beers and some gambling and simply don't go back next year.

There was some entertaining commentary on the FB event page the other day. Knowing what these huge meets typically turn into, it's just not something I would be interested in experiencing

Fair enough, but if you belong to any of the automotive groups on Facebook (see MasssTuning, namely), you can see how just a handful of jackasses can ruin things for everyone else. There are and always will be these real life trolls.

The few shouldn't represent the majority. I'm willing to give this show a chance.

LOL...touche!!

While I belong to MassTuning, I mostly try to keep to myself and not partake in any of the back and forth. I prefer bimmerpost and other BMW forums when I want to show off my car or my opinion or garner feedback.

You should check out YuppieRacing.net. Some of my best friends in the car community have come from that forum. Awesome group of guys and a close knit community

I've heard of them and poked around a bit, but haven't got too involved there. Maybe I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the heads up!

i'm kind of in the same boat as MassBimmer ... i don't mind smaller meets, but these things are usually really crowded. And i like imports, but there are guys who must spend $50k on their Hondas, etc. Idk maybe it's me but I'm not all into the slammed look...

To each, his own. I get it..I'm not a fan of much of that crap, either. But still going to support my buddy. His Civic does NOT have any of that ridiculous, unnecessary camber, by the way. Having owned a Civic Si before my E90, they'll always have a place in my heart.

I am hopeful that there will be a good amount of BMWs there. Time will tell.

I already posted this meet up on here.

I'm on the staff for this event.

We've done a lot of preplanning to make sure everything goes smooth. We've got tons of back up plans to deal with long lines etc. We've also taken a no tolerance policy, so anyone causing problems is getting thrown out. We will have our own security and some from Mohegan Sun.

Should be a fun time!

Food, vendors, raffles, DJ

I'll be parked on the roof by the Broke booth. Come say hey!

Not going to lie, I was a bit lazy and didn't take nearly as many photos as I wanted to. That may have had something to do with the quality of cars at the show, as I found that most of the cars that were not VIP (on the roof) weren't picture-worthy. The condition that many of these cars arrived in (including some VIP cars) was shocking...one guy near us had cracks in his taillights and his rear bumper had a bunch of broken tabs and clips and was barely even hanging on. I don't get how people think this is OK and decide to move forward with "showing" their car.

To each his own, I guess.

What I can say is that the show was fairly well organized and put together. Other than some initial issues getting in (before the show started, since my buddy was in VIP), like getting into VIP, cars were moving around and getting where they needed to get.

Additionally, I can pretty much speak to all of the negativity that was being thrown around at a show that had yet to even occur. There was no "butthurt" and shit talking, at least no more than takes place anywhere else. The garage was huge, so even with all the people who attended, there was plenty of room and I never once felt like any areas were overcrowded. There were a ton of cars being displayed...the best part of the day was watching the line of cars driving in and up the garage ramps. Getting to see and hear how each one sounded. And because it's a garage with inclines/declines, hearing all the scraping!

The weather was on-point, which made for a fantastic day. Met some cool people, saw some great cars, and just enjoyed the day for what it was.

Even the lines for the port-a-johns were non-existent. I needed to piss...went down to the ground floor, walked outside and waited for literally 10 seconds for one to open up.

Was everything handled perfectly? No. Do I see it being done better next year, now that the staff has the experience under their belts? Yes, absolutely. I think most people are too quick to judge and assume. I like to give the benefit of the doubt..I showed up..I enjoyed myself and I would definitely come back again, knowing things will be even smoother the following year.

With that said, here are the very few pictures I did end up taking:

Quite possibly my favorite car of the day
