Turbo!!!! N52
I know I know " Don't do it" well im to curious and Im trying it. First im going as simple as I can using stock manifolds and fabricating a y pipe to the turbo. Relocate the coolant resevoir and mount the turbo behind the passenger light. Of course cuatom downpipe and exhaust. Front mount and intercooler thats easy. Oil feed and return lines ... Don't know yet. Tuning is my biggest concern. Anyone have any ideas?

For all the work that a turbo setup will entail (I have turboed many cars over the years), the issue right now is fuel. Turbo or not, you will be limited to the limits of the OEM injectors, which max out just around 300whp. That is at least a reality for now for the SC setup as well, until/unless we find a suitable larger injector (they are very specific injectors). Without a better fuel option, I wouldnt think it would be worth while to pursue a turbo setup being limited to 300whp. Tuning will be another issue.

saw the title, knew the .gif, had to post it, and leave
This turbo a N52 is a crazy notion, look how much testing ESS, who is a reputable dealer, had to go through to make sure their SC would work. I would just buy a SC. The turbo is not a good idea, who is going to tune it? Not to mention the injectors are specially made for the vanos...which limit you to around 300whp

I would save my self the truble and just find a nice 335i and get some bolt-on and enjoy the 400hp if more power is what you´re after..

I dont think I can find a 335i as cheap as I bought this 330i. And the money to be invested is not going to be bad. I work for a speed shop most of it is going to be time and figuring stuff

Can't you just l use n55 n54 manifolds and turbos? They look like they bolt up with minimal issues
Good luck

Fitment is not the issue. The actual metal of the engine block is, IMHO.

Which renders the following: Even if you could 'pull' it off, how could you justify running such low boost with such little results for such a high investment? Not trying to shit on a parade, but per my research the main issue with the two engines. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...41&postcount=3 Quote:
