Body kit

Hi guys,

I'm planning on buying a body kit for my e90 sedan soon. I've had a local body shop give me a quote for the intall (labor/paint) of the full kit - M5 Like front bumper, MTech side skirts, Lumma rear apron. They quoted me $2500.

Is that a good deal? I found it sort of expensive.

Any comments/experiences?

sounds a tad steep to me. i paid roughly $1975 to have it done at vpc and that is bmw's paint/install. i believe the msrp price for the oem addon kit is 2200-2400k during the initial order. (keep in mind this was through bmw and added to the car order)

i shopped around locally (3 body shops) as well and the price for kit/paint/install was around $1900-$2000 for full mtech. unless there some customization, etc i would shop around some more.

install you can do yourself if you have a jack and some tools. Check a few places for the price of the paint only

i paid 600 to paint and install my sides and rear....kinda gives you an idea....i wouldnt pay over 1300 for everything....if you need a good shop let me know

+1, get it painted and do the work yourself. It is more rewarding that way...

with paint and install, i really don't see it higher than 1200, highest i would go is 1300

i just got my full mtech painted (including the diffuser) and installed in NJ for
$1250 including tax! This was top notch place as well.
