Impact guns
Do many people on here use impact guns?
Currently have a sealey one me and my dad share. Really doesn't have the power we could do with, it's great for making things quicker but no good for getting a tight but off. So far we think either a snap on or Milwaukee will be better and do the jobs we need. Does anyone recommend any others? And then the best place to buy? Many thanks Tom |

you talking air fed or battery?
Air fed, the Ingersol Rand TiMAX range get excellent write ups, and are pretty cheap compared to snap-on etc. they are only really available in america, but buying from ebay.com with their global shipping program works. |

Iv got hilti ones for the steel fitters at my place, myself and the fitters can't rate them enough. A touch pricey but in our game they are worth every penny. May be a bit much on cars.

Seems to get very hot when used a lot also. Think there great for the price for most diyers. With a couple of landrovers and 5-6 cars between mine house and his, I don't mind spending a bit more |

I have a 18 volt lithium ion half inch dewalt battery gun and it's the best bit of kit I've brought. I'm a truck mechanic so it gets a he'll of alot if stick had it 2 years or so and never broke Can easily take off rusted and corroded bolts without a sweat and lasts for ages. it only Takes about 40 minuits to charge cost 400 quid came with a charger and 2 batteries. Also have a small 10.8 volt dewalt 3/8 one which is good for zipping off smaller bolts and came with the same kit as the larger gun

I have a Hilti impact wrench but it does not break off anywhere near what it tightens. It's my Third wrench as the first one broke within 2 years and got replaced and then that one also broke and got replaced after a lot of moaning.
Hitachi make a very good impact wrench long warranty. Milwaukee are also good buy, I have a lot of Milwaukee tools. I personally wouldn't get a Hilti wrench due to having problems with them. Many people will swear by them. However they do make very good diamond drilling machines and Nail guns....first choice for criminals wanting diamonds and other valuables |
