CF on e92 M-sport rear

I purchased a sheet of sticky back carbon fibre sheet and have cut and stuck it to the recess on the rear of my e92. I previously had the recess sprayed SG (with the gloss black valance), but thought it was lacking something. Very happy with it now though :

Matches nicely with my glacier silver interior trim:

Should be picking up my gloss black kidney grills next week.

Looks very good and I like the way it matches the interior.

Maybe you're a budding interior designer!

was gonna say similar but didn't wanna be a killjoy!

almost looks as though you can see creases/air bubbles or is it just a bad pic?

Not sure it will weather too well either

Just IMO tho - if we all had the same tastes, etc!!

Yes. The CF sheet is not wide enough to do it in one piece.

This is only visible up close from certain angles though, so really not a biggy.

The points about it looking cheap are clearly down to taste. I guess those of you who opted for wooden interior trim may not appreciate the look (a generalisation i know), but it really does finish the rear off.

I think the e92 m-sport kit is superb, but the rear valance on SG looks a bit plain as it is all the same colour.

I am still undecided as to whether to change the valance from gloss to matte black though.

Naa, defo stick with the black gloss it looks loads better... if you go for matt it might look more like the plastic unpainted piece it used to be.

Awesome e92

Is the grille painted gloss, or is it gloss plastic?

Nice!

Last time I heard the word "valance" was watching Alan Partridge...

Jill: Well I just thought I'd pour chocolate mousse over you.
Alan: You've got it on the bedsheets, you've got it on my dressing gown, you've got it on the valance
Jill: The what?
Alan: The skirt thing round the side of the bed...

I bought some them as matte black plastic and then had them sprayed gloss. This way any stone chips will take it back to matt black rather than chrome (like with painted oem grills).

I always close the garage door when I give them a buff. I usually pretend that I accidentally pressed the remote on my key fob. Saves me having to explain myself to the wife.

She suggested that I love my bmw more than her and the kids today . . . . . . I tried not to pause for thought for too long before answering
