Car wont stay cranked during warm start
Hey all. Recently I have noticed that my car would act funny when starting it up when the engine is warm. Now the car will usually idle for a minute then die. If I start it up when the engine is cold the car runs fine. I have not pulled the codes yet (will this weekend) but I do know I have about 14-17k miles on the plugs with jb4 on. Any chance its the plugs or could it be the hpfp?
Also, the car did not do this until I changed my VANOS. I did not use OEM VANOS but went with Dorman... they seemed to have good reviews. Could it be that? |

Finally had the car act up again, pulled the codes.
I had 29f3 (low pressure fuel sensor) and 2aaf (Fuel pump plausibility). Mind you if my memory serves me right, these codes have been persistent with this car from day 1 that I bought it but never have had a problem. I guess this is what happens if you go too long without replacing the sensor. My next question is, what are the possibilities that the sensor was responsible for my lpfp running low on e85? Maybe I need to do some logs soon? |

I was running e85 until I noticed the jb4 resetting itself to low boost mode with check engine light flashing for a split second. Pulled some logs on 20% e85 and noticed the lpfp running just above the threshold of whats acceptable. I have not run logs since nor I have run any e85. the sensor is being replaced as we speak. So maybe this weekend I will toss in some e85 and go logging to see what happens.
