So this happened!

Driving home from work when someone decides to turn into the side street in front of me from the other side of the road, slam hard on the brakes to miss him but the lady behind me had no chance.

Now i need to get her fixed i hate seeing it damaged like this hopefully the guys at Active can fix it.

get the boys at active to order a new mtech rear and LCI tail lights also!!

Might as well make the most of an unfortunate incident (maybe use a hammer to smash those tail lights in!!)

Don't forget to check the turbo's for any damage the exhaust pipe movement may have caused

Damn... that sucks, bad luck!

Make sure you get a good repairer - I used Brighton Panel Works and they fixed the car up properly (I got replacement genuine BMW carbon rear diffuser ~$3000) and are open to modifications as well if you're prepared to pay extra for it.
i.e. replace axleback costs $1400 for OEM. Meisterschaft GT axle back rom Active was $1900 so I paid $500 difference.

Glad to hear you are ok. How did the brakes perform under emergency conditions??? Stopped hard a couple of times myself but never had the opportunity to go full stomp on em

Oh and while checkin out the turbos for damage the steering wheel might have developed a crack so Ill get them to spring for a new M sports edition wheel with the red center stripe

That's fucked. I hate to see an E92 wounded in action.

Hard to tell from the photo. Is there any damage to the rear guards? Or is it mainly a new bar and boot lid at this stage.

You can deal with mechanical repairs that haven't been done right. It's a lot harder with paint repairs. Go to a repairer with good reviews and that will also deal with any issues post work being completed without any fuss.

Cheers mate, Thats the problem the brakes performed amazing under emergency conditions,
I was able to avoid the guy in front of me and stop quicker then i thought i would but the IX35 behind me just didn't have the same stopping power.
Dont worry i would love a new M sport wheel, better yet everything M sport haha

The end of the left rear guard has a small amount of damage but its mostly the rear bar and boot, I do get worried with body repairs because when not done right can mess up the whole car.
Since it wasn't my fault the repairers are normally happy to take the extra time to fix it right since im not the one paying for it.
