FS: GruppeM Carbon fiber intake for N54 Rare & Authentic

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
FS:
Rare & Authentic GruppeM Carbon fiber intake for the N54 motor (Serial # EU-0115). It has only been been on the car for 15k driven miles. All required hardware for install will be included. First owner and purchased brand new for my 2008 BMW E92 335i. In the process of slowly parting out my show car.

Features:
GruppeM RAM AIR SYSTEMS epitomize the GruppeM philosophy of attention to detail. By replacing the factory air handling systems, increased airflow streams into the combustion chamber.

The factory ductwork is replaced with heat-shielding carbon fiber with enhanced inlets to capture the maximum amount of air. Lower intake air temperatures carry higher concentrations of oxygen, allowing for more energetic explosions and producing more horsepower and torque. Of course, reliability is never sacrificed -- high-efficiency, high-flow K&N air filter materials prevent contaminants from interfering with proper engine function.

Fits:
E9X 335i, 335xi, & 335is N54

This was installed in conjunction with an ER charge pipe w/ HKS BOV for those who might be wondering if their setups will work.

The air box will fit, but the front intake snorkel won't

Te above is correct. Although the box will work, the front snorkel piece on the 1 series is different from the 3 so that won't transfer over. This will only fit for the n54 equipped 335i/335xi/335is. Weekend Bump!

Never measured it, but should be approx the same size. I know that it clears the Cusco strut brace. Not my car below, but you can check it out for reference.

One thing I did notice that wasn't on the pictures...air filter?

Where is that?
Or do we use our stock one?

Take a look at the 3rd to last picture in the original post. The filter goes inside the carbon fiber intake itself. The top can be disassembled and is secured by screws that hold it in place. The intake uses a K&N filter part #RF-1002 which is washable and reusable. Below is a picture of the filter itself.

I have one of this installed on my E93. I honestly never count the extra hp this badboy given out but it is truly a work of art. A beautiful piece that gives everyone 'woah' everytime the hood is lifted up.
