Service Message on Startup
So a service message pops up in dash when i startup the car. It lasts for about 2 seconds then it disappears. Its never done this before. I attached a picture of it. Is this normal? I just expected a different symbol for routine maintenance.

Just read the owner's manual, it explains how to access and interpret the Condition Based Service system.
Good luck.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

That seems to be the general service icon.
Check out "Service Requirements" in your manual (p.77 in the online '07 manual). This will tell you how to to find out when each service is called for, either from the dash computer or iDrive. Tom |
