Windshield Skins available @ Autobahn Exotics!!

Autobahn Exotics is now a certified dealer and installer for Pro-line Windshield Skin Products. We also have the windshield skin installed on our F360. Demonstrations of this product are also available by appointment for those interested.

Taken from www.windshieldprotection.com
Proline Windshield Skins (PWS) is a clear windshield protection film applied to the exterior surface of a windshield. Its purpose is to prevent damage from ordinary highway rock strikes and other road debris. Impacts which shatter unprotected glass leave only a minimal pin-point on the film, preserving its optical clarity. Like glass, PWS is scratch resistant and stands up to everyday abrasions (including windshield wipers). PWS also provides optical clarity and UV protection. The film is virtually invisible and is guaranteed not to peel, bubble, crack, or yellow, for the warranted life of the product (see Features and Benefits for warranty details) therefore the driver’s vision is not impaired.

There are three main benefits in installing PWS:
• Impact resistance against normal road hazards.
• UV stabilizers which reduce vehicle heat, prolonging interior life.
• Faster run-off rain, snow and other elements, providing better visibility.

Some other Features & Benefits:

Scratch Resistant – PWS is a hard-coated film that features much the same scratch resistant qualities as glass and protects against normal abrasions such as windshield wipers.

Remains Adhered to Windshield – the adhesive used is strong enough that high-powered car wash streams do not cause the film to lift. Although the PWS is not permanent it has a unique adhesive that keeps the film adhered tightly to the windshield. If the PWS needs to be removed for any reason, it can be removed using a semi-sharp instrument, such as a knife blade, to lift up one corner of the film. Proceed by pulling the film with constant pressure, after the film is removed completely use a basic soap and water solution to clean off any adhesive residue (additional details on the removal of PWS is available).

Two-year Limited Warranty – PWS offers a Two-year or 24,000 mile Warranty.

Weather Repellant – Yes the product repels rain and snow to give the driver a clearer and safer viewing during driving (performs similar to Rain-X).

Please contact us for pricing and any questions or to set up an installation time at info@autobahnexotics.com or by phone- 714-241-0298.

So this is a different alternative to tinting the windshield solely for UV/Heat blocking purposes? By how much?

Also Can any install this or only pros?

Do you have them for a 2005 Range Rover HSE?

If it was race style stuff you could peel off i would be all for it. But it's not.

That's what my wipers are for.

The windshield skin blocks 99% UV rays. We highly recommend a professional to install this, either a window tinter or clear bra installer would be best.

Yes we have them for a 2005 Range Rover as well as many other vehicles.

To better understand this product watch the video on prolines website.

http://www.prolinestyling.com/ There are a couple videos on the right hand side of the website.

There is no need to tear off this product thats why its so unique. The tear off skins only help your windshield to stay clean, just like motorcycle tear offs for goggles. If you get mud or dirt on the skin, then you tear off the skin and you have a clean windshield.

With prolines product you have a much thicker skin that will prevent rocks from chipping or cracking the windshield. These skins are also scratch resistant, so they are safe for using your wipers.

No one cares about their windshield though, most states require insurance companies to replace them without taking the deductible because they are considered safety equipment.

Ordered one yesterday.

Seal is not going to be as good if the windshield is replaced. Plus, 70% of windshields are installed incorrectly.

I hope knew this product earlier or I would not need to replace my windshield for the rock chipsssssssss.

You're kidding right? That is an expensive piece to replace and only a couple insurance companies cover it without a deductible. What is a e90/e92 windshield going for these days (factory glass)?

One of the big differences between the East and West Coasts with Insurance Companies
