my only concern is it rubbing on the dv line, hence the extra foam padding there.

I like the looks of yours a lot better. I just think that is going to be a huge ass headache down the road when you want to empty it. But in general, it looks really nice!

Lots of people who remove their charge pipes and DVs find oil in there. So the catchcan intercepts the PCV hose which pumps air through the crankcase. One line goes into the catchcan, filters out out, and a return line feeds the cleaned air back into the engine. W/O a catchcan, after time, the pistons will cake with oil that cannot combust in the engine. The PCV hose routes this to be combusted in the engine, whih lowers octane and reduces performance. Personally, I think it is a minute issue, but had one installed anyways .

Not a bad idea. I have to relocate mine when I get my CAI as the steering resevoir will have to be moved. I will find a good place to put it once the time comes. I will be draining my oil in the next few weeks, I am curious to see how much is in there(1 month since I have had it installed).

demnd, demand, demand

seriously, i have a vague idea about these can installs. mounting the can: easy,
but how do the lines work?
i see three lines going into (or you can say out of) your can. where does each of the 3 lines end up?

i also checked redeelment's DIY, but could not actually tell what had to be done to the stock PVC hose/line.
do 2 of the catch can lines tap into the opposite ends of the stock stock PVC line?
do we tap into the pvc line itself or the fitting on each end of the pvc line?

lastly, any chance you have some pics of the stock PVC hose before and after modification?

.......i really need to do this mod.
thanks for any clarification you can provide

your too much. its really easy looking at the pics. remove the microfilter bulkhead (8)8mm screws, remove the engine cover (4)5mm allens.
order or cut your vent line(you can see mine) where there is NO perforation. take one half of the line go to home depot plumbing section and look for npt adapters. find the one the best fits the pipe and that will accept the catchcan line. (not sure which ones i got ill look and see). install fitting into the line youve cut. install line and catchcan lines. mount catchcan by strut tower. i used a thin piece of aluminum so that i could bend it how i like it to sit. secure it to plastic housing for brake booster/fluid resiviour(sp?). check all connections. go for road test. done.

sorry i dont. basically just cut the hose in half. i reccomend buying a second one just in case you want to return to stock.
