New Posts shows every post all day

Seems like when I click "New Posts" I get 13 pages of posts. When I "Mark Forums Read", I still get all posts. Seems like the system isn't tracking "new" posts and showing everything.

We are changing the system to more accurately reflect what you've actually read up to. The new posts will show everything that you have not read but will mark the threads which have new posts since you last visited. The mark all as read button is still being worked on

This will also become seamless with the app. So for example if you read a thread on the app. It will save where you last read up to on the web forum as well. Or vice versa

I don't like this at all, if I choose to click Mark forums read and hit new posts I only want to see the new threads, not everything.

I agree on this. The way I browse the forums is this. I view the sub-forums I wish to view during a visit and then I leave. When I come back I only want to see what threads have been updated/changed. The way it looks now I have to look at the last post dates and figure out which posts are new.

I liked the old way much better. This new system implies that I want to read every-single-post that is made and want to be informed of the ones i haven't. That is not how someone browses a forum as large as e90post.

Another point of contention.

When I am in the 1 Series section, and click 'New Posts", half of them are from the 2 series section, or the X5/X6 section. Getting tired of clicking on the link in the X6M thread about BMW Apps.

So tired of it!

Also can we talk about 2Addicts? Knocking off our name much? It would be like calling the E9x forum E92Fanatics.

How do I search for new fresh threads ONLY within the platform that interest me, aka "The Old Unbroken Way"?

And the go to new post button doesn't work now either.
It takes me to the start of a thread even if I have read multiple pages of it before.

Same here, getting the entire forum network consolidated into one search.

This example shows 17 posts within a ~1min period. Since there is so much traffic on the network, it's hard to keep track.
