Best guide to setup winkfp/ipa/etc

I see there are a couple of guides detailing how to setup winkfp/inpa/etc which one is the best to follow? I plan on installing all the programs on a virgin windows xp install.

I can only say - don't use XP, you can install it on every Windows 7/8/10.

There are a lot of guides on net, try to find them. You need to start from Standard Tools 2.12.

What are the downsides of using xp?

If you have older laptop then it's fine, but it doesnt make sense when you have a new one and you need to install some virtuals to have XP.

Im surprised no one has setup a standard coding VM that everyone can use/share. That would make it a lot easier???

VMs are too clunky and performance laden, IMO.

After many hours of using outdated programs and poor instructions I finally got the xp vm setup, coded, and did the Alpina flash. I'm more than happy to share my vm with the community Where's a good place to upload?

BTW: I've always had good luck with my VMs at least using them on a 15in retina Macbook Pro
