Do I need to do any soldering for headlight swapping?

I am removing my LCI halogens for LCI halogens that have been upgraded through Umnitza (The halogens have been upgraded to xenon and the halos have been upgraded to LED).

I know there are DIY guides, but I am not sure how to go about the swapping process.

I feel like there are more connectors for my new headlight.

It depends how the modifications were done and wired.

Considering who is doing the work I am staying tuned for this one.

No offense to op, but if you search around you will see what I mean. If all is well they should be plug and play just hope for the best.

We take halogen headlights off customers cars, do custom work on it and replace it. No soldering needed.

Hot pictures from the 702.

I found a helpful thread, but it seems now I have to splice a wire?

Again, it depends how the modifications were done on the headlight. No one can tell you for sure because custom headlights are just that - they're custom. Every company/person that modifies the lights will have their own way of wiring it up.

Your best bet is to contact the previous owner of the lights or whoever did the modifications and see if you need to do anything special to get them to work or if you can just plug and play.

Or you can post pictures of your new headlights and we can try to figure it out, but whoever made the headlights should know the best.

Looks like those wires are for the ballast.

Yep, those look like aftermarket ballast wires.

I presume, since they are aftermarket they will not be plug & play?

Most aftermarket ballasts have the same connectors so it should plug right into those connectors.

As far as the headlight to the car, who knows. Most likely unless you see some more extra wires/connectors somewhere.

Thank you for riding this out with myself, I will most likely do this tomorrow!

I will figure out how to attach the xenon item (I will link a picture later, but it is a silver box that attaches to one of the connectors on the headlight).

That sounds like the ballast. Those three wires in your picture should go right into that.

I will take pictures, and hopefully you folks will like the look (because I am somewhat sad they don't look good but they will illuminate nicely I bet)
