I have two ipod retrofit kits that I bought for my 07 E90. It's a long story but I had to buy another due to the "dog ate my homework" situation.

The parts lists is as follows

1) wiring harness - 1 used,1unused

2) iPod connection cable 1 used,1 unused

3) iPod interface 1 used

4) display holder 1 used 1 unused

5) display - lights orange as the rest of the BMW instruments . It is installed in the holder and grill in the centre of the dash. 1 extra display unused.

6) button unit - multi function buttons that reside on your steering wheel.

7)6 pin socket casing -1unused

8)screws and tie wraps unused


The kit will take you approx two hours to install. The instructions are easy to follow.

The install requires you to remove the steering wheel to install the multifunction buttons.

Once it's installed the controls on the steering wheel allow access to your music. It also charges your iPod as well

I don't know which iPods it will work with and which ones it won't . I had a third gen iPod nano. Worked brilliantly through the steering wheel. Was working when I removed it from my car.


This comes with unopened operating instructions and installation instructions from BMW
