So, if I were to acquire a trashed out 06 330i for it's three stage intake, is there any way to swap its DME into a 325i or is it tied to the VIN of the donor car forever?

Thanks, I've looked there. I like to troll the salvage auctions and sometimes you can pick up an entire car on the cheap if it's trashed out enough.

you can't easily move the 330i DME into a 325i. it would be simpler to just tune it for the 3 stage intake.

it's possible if you like hex editing..

If the donor american car then forget it, if european it is possible.
