Use them there muscles, or take it off strut bar and twist using both hands

Take it off strut bar like above post says. Just did this a couple weeks ago.

I've just been using universal oil filter pliers to remove it. It galls the surface of the can but since the bottom of the can is out of site I don't really mind it.

If you can't open by hand, you tightened it too much!
It has fine threads and an O-riing, so tools shouldn't be needed provided you can get your hands on it. Perhaps try wearing latex or nitrile work gloves to get a better grip? Neil |
