Car not shifting?!?!

2008 328xi auto with 100k. When car is floored it just hovers around 4k rpms and won't accelerate or shift! Just did plugs oil change and valve cover. Any direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hope that's the case...simple enough to replace. I just replaced mine after months of trying to diagnose a surging issue and my car's inability to take the full AA tune.

SES light came on today. P1017 also codes for Bank 1 and Bank 2 too rich. Those could be old and unrelated. Car is in limp mode now. Ugh.
