Hey, S2, S3, S4 in the second video ... is that showing the current gear selected in DS mode? I've been wanting that for a long time ... did Alpina implement some trick software, or is this standard on new BMWs now?

You have to rev to the redline. Any thing else is an insult to the engine.

It loves it.

But NOT when she is cold. Surely you dont hammer your lovely engine untill she has warmed through NFS?

There's a 2 stage warm up Fandango. When you cold start it there is an initial fast idle which lasts for 30-60 secs. After it's been running for a minute of so I don't worry about hammering it.

The 330i engine loves to be revved. I think it needs it to get the oil flowing round properly.

No mate your wrong. Oil takes far longer than water to warm thru. Oil is different viscousities during warm up. At a cooler temperature it is not protecting the engine as well as when its warm. You should not really thrash a car till its upto operating temperature.

I never have and i never will.
