Different Exhausts near Boston
Hey guys I am a very indecisive person and was curious to see what kind of exhaust people had around me and if it would be possible for me to meet up and listen to them in person, video don't really do much justice. I am leaning towards the Remus Sport Exhaust, maybe the Race but I can't tell its actually volume through youtube.
Thanks. |

we have meets which Z is supposed to set up.
I set up lunch meets in Andover every month or so. There is no reason to buy an exhaust other than sound. You can make tons of power with the stock exhaust in place change change to catless downpipe(s). It really is only for sound, you can buy tips if it is the look you want. where are you located? maybe someone is local to you.

Don't mind Z, ever since his center caps were stolen he has been in a bad mood.

Gotcha and it's all good I'd be upset too if my center caps were stolen. I live Quincy, right next to Boston. I would be doing this solely for sound/looks. Looking for something a little more subtle but aggressive at the same time, don't need anything too obnoxious not because I don't like it but because I can't wake up the neighbor hood everyday(I head out for work at 5am). I had a legacy with a invidia q300 cat back if that helps, it was aggressive but quiet when sitting at idle.

It's funny because he didn't get the sarcasm I got BMW Performance Exhaust plus catless DPs and in my opinion it is the best combo...yes no performance gain with mufflers but that stupid exhaust flap on stock exhaust is so annoying, even with golf tee mod |

The PE is awesome. I just can't bring myself to do it knowing there's no no actual PERFORMANCE from the Performance Exhaust.

there is also no performance gain to the OEM performance high kick spoiler (basically half the price of the exhaust) but fuck it, it looks good lol

Does anyone have the PE exhaust within the Greater Boston Area so I could get a general idea of what it sounds like? Through the youtube videos it sounds good in some videos and sounds meh in others. Also some people seem to complain about the droning?

I would buy a downpipe 1st before the rest of the exhaust. DPs on mine and it sounds perfect imo. The DP is also functional increases spool etc.

I want a DP but I am going to resist for a bit just because I have a CPO vehicle. The only reason I am doing the exhaust is because it isn't covered under the CPO anyways... Might do coilovers too because shocks are also not covered. |

I live in Dedham and have a Eisenmann Race whenever you want to check it out. It's an N55 motor with the stock cat in place & the secondaries removed. I leave on vacation tonight for 3 weeks but if you wanna hear it when I'm back message me

Can't argue with that logic lol. Personally I was searching for the sound/tone, not volume. If you want volume then a good setup is PE+DPs+tune like yourself No point for my 328 to have DPs lol. I would like to hear yours though, I bet its loud
