Inexpensive exhaust idea

I have a 09 335i e90 and I want a little bit more noise, and I don't want to spend much.
I can get a 2011 e92 exhaust for almost nothing, I know it fits(only 1 or 2 inches longer). In doing so I get a oem quality, lose 2 cats, add x pipe and lose the resonator.
I don't care to put on downpipes(it is very tempting)I'm just not sure of the exhaust sound.
I know someone has done it, and yes I searched 3 different ways and 8 pages latter, I wrote this. Thank you for your thoughts.

Why would you do that. Just chop your mufflers off. You're welcome.

Just select downpipes of your choice, and do the oem performance exhaust mod, what more could you ask for? Promise you it won't be too loud, long as you don't step on it all the time. You could always do downpipes and n55 mid pipes, depending on the downpipes you may want to put two resonators where the secondary cats would normally be. If you arent willing to spend the little money this would cost on exhaust modifications, don't do them at all.

I've put the newer n55 e92 exhaust on my e90 it was definitely a lot louder but no drone. I wouldn't recommend it if you plan on doing downpipes in the future because after downpipes it gets very raspy and farty. I picked up my e92 n55 exhaust for $150 so its worth trying if its cheap.

I have a stock e90 exhaust with the PE mod, xpipe replacing the center resonator, and vibrant 1792 resonators where the secondary cats are and it's perfect. Im on my phone so cant link video but will later. Zero drone inside and sounds great WOT
