I have a 2009 e90 335i.I would like to remove the exhaust solenoid I would like to know if anyone has experienced problems doing that. And also I need instructions on how to do it does anyone know any good videos?

There's a DIY for it.

You can just unplug it and it will stay open. It will throw a code but it doesn't cause an SES light or hurt performance. Takes about 1 minute to do.

I think he is talking about the Vanos exhaust solenoid, not exhaust modification...
