Eibach sportline springs or Pro kit springs

As title really I have seen there are some post of this just looking for some more feed back really. I here the pro kit is still very good at keeping the ride comfortable and smooth but makes it lower and stiffer. Where as the sport-line springs drop it a lot more witch is what I am looking for but worried it is going to be a ruff ride ? I have 17" alloys on and don't think they will come nerve them to scrub from what I have seen on ones with 18".

Sport-line
Lowering Front(approx) 45-50 mm
Lowering Rear (approx) 35 mm

Pro Kit
Lowering Front(approx) - 30 mm
Lowering Rear(approx) - 25 mm

ANY HELP ON this be appreciated as looking at buying them in next 3 weeks or so

Pro-kit basically just looks the same as factory MSport. Its slightly lower, especially at the front, but more or less looks the same. Ride quality is reportedly better than MSport, but a lot of that will depend on what shocks you pair up with them.

Sportline will probably leave you 10-20mm lower than MSport, and i would imagine it will be a bit stiffer as a result. Again though, how it rides will depend on what shocks your using. Being on 17" wheels will make things smoother anyway, especially if they're non-runflat.

For now it's going to be on standard shocks until I can afford new but think if sport-line are the same just lower think that may be the one to go for I an obviously looking for performance as well as comfort thats why I was a little worried

I've been pondering springs and possibly shocks for the past year on my 335i.

It's a tricky one.
Pro-kit retains comfort but may not lower the desired amount & the Sportline may lower a tad too much and be a harsh ride.

I'm personally swaying to pro springs myself as I want to reduce the front arch gap but don't really want a harsh ride. Been there & done that & I enjoy my comfort more these days.

Have to say the same Juz5i I won't it dropped but worryed how the ride will be as you say mate been there done that myself but I have seen the pro on pics and it dose not look that low but the sport line do :-(

Its a fundamental fact that the lower you go, the stiffer the springs need to be, to ensure the car doesnt bottom out, as the lower ride height means you've reduced your available suspension travel, and you will make the ride quality worse as a result.

The other issue is if your retaining the stock dampers, the lower (and hence stiffer) you go, the harder the shocks will find it to control the springs. If the dampers are struggling you'll end up with a bouncy horrible uncontrolled ride.

Pro Kit set up one mines hardly changed the ride height at all (which is fine by me)but comfort etc.is in a different league, this is the 3rd set of Pro springs I've had on 3 cars I've used I've used them on standard shocks on my E46 330d, Koni FSD's with another set of new Pro's again on my old 330d and now my custom Bilstein B8's on my current car always impressed with them.

The Sportline set up will give you a drop though they do recommend in an ideal world corosponding shocks to suit would be the ideal choice.

Been in one car Sportline eqipped and it acheived the drop ride was choppier though but for those who need the stance they are a good way to go I'd say.

Nice one guys and with you going for them 3 times is saying something lol think I will be going for the pro kit as I do not wish to brake my shocks lol so Steve on the 17" I have it will still be siting high

my brothers on 17" wheels and pro-kit springs and it looks good. Not high, not "slammed" just nice.

bit off topic ,but my 320i m sport e91 just snapped my front spring.Does anyone know if the e46 front springs are the same as the e91? I have a new pair and if they are the same I will fit them.

doubt they're the same, front suspension is quite different and the cars are going to be significantly different weights.

Whats the cheapest people picking the pro kit up at best I have got is £175?? See some guys on here saying £150 how lol

I've bought the bilstein eibach b12 kit from Germany for £480 Inc vat + delivery.

You can buy just the springs for about £120 Inc delivery.

£105 is really good price for the Eibach Pro-Kit, I paid a lot more for some to put on an old 206 GTi.

I'm pretty tempted now, specially if it won't lower much more than my standard M Sport springs and it improves the ride.
