Relocated Boost canisters and found crack in Valve cover.

I am preparing for the installation of my new TFT inlets so I found some time this afternoon to relocate my boost canisters. I also ran some new vacuum hoses. Should I keep the blue hoses or change to black. I ran out of Blue so I am going to have to buy more Blue or Black hose. I am unsure if I like the Blue hose or not. My window washer reservoir will sit in this same location and will hide some of this.

I also noticed that I have a small crack in my valve cover. My Z4 has about 48k on it so I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that it is cracked.

I had an identical crack, I jb welded it, and it ended up not being able to get jb weld over all of the area, so beings I needed to pull it I just replaced it.
ecs tuning gave me free shipping which saved like $30 since it is a huge box.
I think they have free shipping over $200 now.

I had an identical crack in the same spot as well. Must be a common failure point...

I just replaced my valve cover due to it being cracked at 44k miles. Thought it was only leaking from the gasket since the crack wasn't visible like yours. It's about $300 for parts.

It's more common than you think, these boosted engines always have these issues. It will crack again

Had the same crack in the same place at 55k. Seems very common, parts were ~$300 or so and I installed it myself in a few hours (was being cautious).

Garage List
I have a used valve cover if anyone wants to save some $$! Also have a brand new gasket I'd throw in.
