Turbo warranty

I was just wondering if the dealer will give me trouble for trying to get the turbos covered under the extended 8yr/80k warranty if my car has an aftermarket intercooler and charge pipe and dci, car has no other mods, or should I really put it back to stock first

Are you throwing codes? Is your wastegate rattling? If not, it's hard for them to replace your turbo.
Any warranty that BMW has to pay for is hard to get them covered it if you have mods, best bet is remove all bolt-ons, delete all the shadow codes.

No codes, but you can definitely hear the Wastegate rattle

Some dealers will just swap them for you if you just tell them you have wg rattle

Every dealer is different. What you really need to do is find a good SA, makes things much easier.

Depends on the dealer, some will not replace it unless it is throwing a code.
Intercooler and charge pipe should not be a problem but I would remove them to be on the safe side

Hopefully I'll get lucky
My wife's x5 was at Bmw for over 2 months and we were probably the nicest customers and got to know the manager pretty well. Let's see how nice he is to me this time !
