Velocity CSL reps, which offset will fit on E90

I have decided to buy 18' Velocity CSL's but dont know if I should buy 8.5' on all four or 9.5 on the rear wheels.
Which will be the best fit on the rear axel without spacer?

18x8.5" / +40mm
18x9.5" / +40mm
18x9.5" / +22mm

I'm in the process of doing the same thing and was told by EAS that the 18x9.5 rears require a 15mm spacer. Or if you go 19s no spacer is required. The problem with the 18x8.5s in the rear is that they won't fill the wheel well if that's the look you're going for.

9.5 40 o/s will be just little bit tucked in (best is 30mm offset) and the 22 will be very aggressive, may rub. For me, I would go with the 40 o/s as I rather to err on the side of safety over looks.

just go with m3 offset for the rear. 9.5 with +22 offset for the rear should be fine unless your car is SLAMMED. The wheels will sit almost flush with the fenders and the concavity looks great. Like i said, you should be fine if your lowered, but if you are slammed, you have to roll your fenders a bit.

I wouldn't recommend the +22mm, max tire you would be able to run would be a 255 without some type fender rolling, especially on lowered setups.

If choosing 9.5" 18s in the rear, the 30mm offset is best, This is achieved by using the +45mm wheel with a 15mm spacer. If making the jump to 19s, we already have +30mm sizes available.

According to ETK 8.5x18 shall have offset +37 on the rear axle. Velocity's +40 offset will, to my understanding, move the wheel 3 mm to the centre, not so much but will I get the right look?

Absolutely - lots of people are running the same exact setup.

If you want to get a 35mm offset.

We're still recommend a 10mm spacer to get it at 30mm. It simply looks the best overall.

If using spacers, you'll need extended lugs as well.

PM sent - everything is in stock.

Okay, I think I've finally got it. Let me say it once to make sure I'm clear.

For E92 fitment (xi) of 19" CSL Reps with no spacers, no lug extenders and no rubbing:

1) I should get the 40mm offset, 8.5" width for the fronts

and

2) I should get the 30mm offset, 9.5" width for the rears.

3) This will allow 265mm tires in the rear, and 235mm tires in the front, maximum.

Correct?

You guys rock. Now to scour for pics to decide on the color and tire.

I'm thinking of going back to Dunlop SPs. They were great, they just didn't last for shit.

Might want to try the Kuhmo SPTs or there are many good reports on the Exclaim UHPs. Either one is a good tire.

For the limited amount we see in SoCal, the SPTs are perfectly fine.

wow so no one even noticed that he said 18x9.5 et40 <---- Quick correction its an ET45

Only fitment for your E90/E92 - is front 18x8.5 ET40 and rear 18x9.5 ET45

That will fit fine - however your rears are going to look tucked in - 12mm spacer is what I'd recommend, to make it look flush.

If you have any other questions or need help, let me/us know.

Ron,
you confuse me, according to VMR's homepage there is no +45 offset on the 18' Wheels!

Available Sizes
18x8.5" / +40mm / Silver
18x9.5" / +40mm / Silver
18x9.5" / +22mm / Silver
19x8.5" / +40mm / Silver
19x9.5" / +45mm / Silver
19x9.5" / +22mm / Silver

Still confused, but on a higher level!
