Anyone in Knoville, TN area...? Travelling, need help!
Hey guys, I'm a northeast guy traveling and got stranded in Roanoke, VA with a rear tire blow out on Saturday. Long story short got towed to a local BMW dealer which was closed and had to replace both rear tires at a Merchants who sourced me a set of Nitto NT555 265/30/19. Had them balance out the fronts while I was there and found driver front had two bends but they balanced out pretty well and the shake is now gone.
The problem I'm having is after getting the car back from the new tire install and balanced the fronts, the steering wheel was cocked to the 1:00 position and the front end seems really all over the place. What I'm thinking is the idiot tow truck driver wrapped the chains around something he shouldn't have and threw the front end out of wack, possibly bent some arms ect... Anyone in the area (Knoxville) that has some tools I could use/borrow to jack her up and see what's going on under there. I came down for the Tail of the Dragon and staying in the Farragut area but now I can barely drive the car safely above 50 mph as the front end is all over the place as if it was on ice. Or can anyone recommend a good shop who won't rake me over the coals...? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, Joe |
