Just curious on who you guys would think would win! I have a friend with a C55 and we go back and fourth on who would win since it has so much power he can't get off the line!

Mods:

If he doesn't know how to get his car off the line and you beat him then its simple - your car is faster and he needs to learn how to drive.

What do you think it would be like if he had slicks?

If he's not tuned, you'll win. If he is, close race

tell him to stop using chongquang supreme kai performance tires. At that power level he should have no problem hooking.

I think it would be closer that what everyone else is thinking, AMG are fast cars.
First pull you might get the better of him, second pull with your stock intercooler he will win easy.
You need catless DP and intercooler and it wont be even close.

DP will get you more power
Intercooler will give you better heat management to be able to deliver that power every single pull.
At the end of the day, you will need to get both.
I would start with catless downpipes.

I'd get intercooler first. It will combat the heat soak. Tune FMIC is faster then Tune Downpipe, especially after back to back pulls. As Mike said, you will eventually need both. FMIC is easier to install which is why I suggest it first also. It also make the motor happier as it lowers combustion temps and improves efficiency on the turbo side.

You might be confusing the C55 with the E55, the E55 has a supercharged V8 which is no joke, which I'm sure you know. The C55 uses a NA V8, which only makes about 300whp. A tuned 335 should have no problem.

I agree with the tuned 335 being able to take it and i said that in my first post. Problem is that after your first pull, 335 will suffer with the stock intercooler

Yeah, that's true, unless it was hot and humid, I kind of doubt the C55 would take it even on the second run but who knows. If OP threw some E25 in with a pump/race flash and run map 5 he won't have an issue. The E25 should prevent it from pulling timing due to high IAT.
