BMS DCI vs VRSF DCI

I have heard a lot of good things about the BMS dual cone intake system, but the VRSF DCI is also in the same price range but I have not been able to find a thread on them. Does anybody know if the VRSF is just as good or better than the BMS DCI? Here are links to both:

They are virtually the same. They both source their filters from S&B Filters. I'd get the BMS DCI kit.

I hear the VRSF adds more power because it has more letters in the abbreviation. They are the same thing.

I heard the opposite as the extra letter adds more weight to the car reducing performance LOL

Like it has been said several times. They are the same and I think the same price as well. I think they actually use the exact same filters. Only difference is the BMS one has a white filter option.

Mike

Eh, it kills some time. I expect redundant questions. I'm just a little sarcastic today. Haha.

LOL. Well it has more weight but if you add a Vtec sticker it will cancel it out.

Yea the white is cool the first day until it gets dirty haha. Same filters otherwise.

Oh I had no problem with your snarky response, in fact I welcome it.

Was more referencing the laziness of the OP. A lack of knowledge is A OK, but refusal to search or in this instance just use your eyes for twenty seconds is frustrating. I'm tired of seeing "Which DCI should I buy" five times a week.

Carry on dude

The BMS uses special cold rolled plastic (clearly possible..) connecting tubes and titanium hose clamps to greatly reduce weight to reduce turbo lag to about 0.005 sec as well as makes your engine float.

Wrong! Only the white filters BMS offers add an extra 8WHP.

You should get one of each, run one BMS with one VRSF, the best of both worlds, max performance gains!

I thought that was only when mated with Cowl/Cabin Air Filters?

I'm glad I made my little joke. It livened this place up a bit.

Well, if you want gains, whydnt u go with aftermarket inlets. Instead of wasting money on the dci and stock inlet setup???

Gotta admit, you have a point. DCI does next to nothing especially when compared to the inlets. Mine as well get both since the DCI are cheap anyway.

Honestly, I looked at this with Mustangs too, stock airboxes are getting so efficient now that gains with a DCI or CAI are negligible, especially for stock cars (no ones going to feel 10whp). People only buy the CAI's for the looks. Open filters do look good!

Since the DCI for the BMWs are so inexpensive compared to CAI's on other cars, might as well buy it, it looks cool, it'll help some especially if you have downpipes and FMIC.

Thanks for all of the helpful information on the comparison of the two guys! You have been such a help.. atleast bk335 contributed a bit, so thank you.

If you are not gonna answer my question then dont bother replying.. idc if you think im lazy for not searching, but i did not find a thread comparing the two. Just wanted to know if the quality is comparable, not about peformance.

They're both S&B filters. They're exactly the same product, and it's confirmed by everyone above.

Love the sound of DCI with or without inlets over stock air box with a drop in.

All others have said it they're the same thing basically.

From my experience the sound is negligible unless you have the windows open. I barely notice the sound of my BMS DCI's. Especially compared to my WRX where a K&N SRI could be mistaken for a blowoff valve. Not that I wanted that again, just if you're getting DCI's for the sound I question the cost / benefit of the purchase. Just my 2c.
