Advice please

Hi all, I have an e92 330d auto. This is my first diesel, and tbh I don't know a great deal about the dirty oil burners.

When i toddling along at abut 65-70 sometimes i get what I can only describe a flat spot, it almost feels like the auto box has done a gear change although this defiantly is not the case, it literally lasts for a second and then returns to normal.

The car has done 100k and has a full service history, although it is in need of a service now. Anyone offer any advice?

Thanks in advance

What year is your car, does it have a dpf, if so maybe it's doing a regen?

2008, yes it has a dpf. Is there anyway a regen can be forced. I've heard about driving for 20mins on a motorway etc keeping the revs above 3000rpm

Try a couple of tanks of Shell V power - wont cost you much and it could be a simple fix.

I'd be changing the gearbox oil and filter as a first step. Its almost certainly already overdue.
